No.62: My Favorite Place

My favorite place is of course Tianjin, China.  It is my hometown and I lived there for fifteen years before I went to Canada. Now summer break is the only time that I can go back and I cherish every minute I am there. Tianjin is a port city and is developing in a fast speed. The most notable part of Tianjin is the Binhai New Area. And that’s actually where my home is. Both of my parents work there. It is a really nice place to go to and it has many attractions. The most famous food in Binhai New Area is the seafood. Personally, seafood, no matter where it is produces, tastes the same to me. However, that’s what most people say after their travel to Binhai New Area that the seafood there tastes the best.

Other parts of Tianjin also have a lot of attractions. In Nankai District, there is Tianjin Broadcasting Tower standing in Tianta Lake. It is the tallest architecture in Tianjin, I think. It is about thirty stories high and visitors can take an elevator and go up to the top. It is said that you can see everything in Tianjin from up there. I do not remember being up there, but my mom said when I was a very little kid, she carried me and went up there. Well, I have no way of knowing it or proving it. The Tianjin Broadcasting Station is also in Nankai District and it is not far from the Tower. I went by there two times a day when I was in middle school. It is right on my way to school.
