No.30: Blog about My Paper #2

I realized that I didn’t talk about the content of my draft in the last blog, so I am doing it right now. Basically, I will do a short introduction to lead out my argument. For the introduction, maybe this is kind of stereotyped, I will use some rhetorical questions to let the audience think about this phenomenon taking place around them. Then I will copy and paste my episode analysis from my unfortunately poor 2-page paper that we did couple of weeks ago. Like I said in one of my previous blog, the only thing I can use from the episode analysis paper is the information of the significant scene that relates to my argument. Now after I finish the scene part, I will work on the transition to the things happening in the real world. I found a case and it relates to the argument well, so I have decided to put them next to each other to illustrate my argument further. Then I will introduce the research articles I have found through the Internet and continue on the implications.

Actually, I have finished everything up to the research articles part. I am having a hard time just to put the articles together and put them into my paper. Another difficulty when I write the paper is that I am not a concentrative person, which means I get distracted easily. I have been working on the paper for days, but still have a lot to do. Every time when I cannot think of something to put into the paper, I start to do other things, like searching the Internet, chatting with friends, or watching TV.

  1. I am a concentrative person as well and it will take me pretty long time to focus on what I am doing, like writing paper. So I always push it to the last minute, which turns out really stressful in the end.
